Singh is kingg?? not really!

Our new bollywood king but not Khan or say to say Singh Khan aka Akshay kumar believes that real king of bollywood is Amitabh Bachhan.He was found quoted by news reporters, “There is only one king and he is Amitabh Bachchan. I am merely acting in a film called ‘Singh Is Kinng’.” Even though it appears crystal clear refference to King Khan SRK but Akshay avoided direct naming.Akshay adds that he doesn’t care for any controversy on this issue. He further adds, “Bachchan has been in the film industry over 35 / 40 years and he is the real king. There are many who are around for 15-20 years and like to call themselves king.”
The new hit machine of bollywood as the street smart shef of Bangkok has piled up hit after hits on box office. New millennium seems to have hit purple patch for Akki who gave flops after flops initially in his career suddenly embarked on a bull run with films that mostly tickled the funny bone: Hera Pheri (2000), Mujhse Shaadi Karoge (2004), Garam Masala (2005), Phir Hera Pheri (2006), Bhagam Bhag (2006), Namastey London (2007), Heyy Baby (2007), Bhool Bhulaiyya (2007) and Welcome (2007). Other than Hera Pheri , most of the other comedies have been slapstick rather than smart and witty.
Impressed by Amitabh Bachhan’s humble attitude Akshay is all praise for the Big B as he flew down to India from Los Angels to promote Big B’s ambitious world tour ‘unforgettable’. He was speaking at the promotional party of latest release ‘ Singh is Kingg’.

SRK- Salman affair touches new high!! Katerina dropped from Tour

SRK- Salman already sour relationship after the famous Aishwarya incident grew more critical with recent SRK - Salman controversy at Salman’s apartment at bandra on the eve of katerina’s birthhday when Shahrukh made fun of Salman about Aishwarya Rai and Salman rebuked him to be a ‘MAN’.

In a recent development SRK, in a move targeted at Salman has ousted Katrina Kaif from his ambitious ‘Temptation Reloaded Tour’,  thus fuelling media speculation of SRK Salman brawl affecting the most beautiful woman of earth. Sources predicted that this wil definitely hamper the beauty who is very much in line for the number one spot in bollywood after her recent successful stint with movie. Katrina who was going through a purple batch with hit movie one after other is bearing the brunt of SRK Salman controversy.

According to reports, Katrina was to perform along with Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Javed Ali, Anushka Dandekar and Ganesh Hedge in the ‘Temptation Reloaded Tour’ that is touted as the next big thing after the Bachchans’ ‘Unforgettable Tour’. But SRK being the king of the show, decided to blacklist Katrina.

Media pundits are predicting more pungent action between two superstar with both have a reputation for super-ego.

‘Batman’ Assault Controversy!!

‘Batman Beigns’ and recently released “The dark Knight” British actor Christian Bale run into a family controversy when he was accused of assault by his own mother Jenny and sister Sharon. After the premier of The Dark Knight, actor surrendered to Police which let him attend the premier in London. Cops spent four hours grilling him over the assault claim before he was released on bail without charge.
Actor has denied the allegations and was not available for any comment.
Bale, 34, had booked his relatives into the five-star Dorchester Hotel in London s West End so they could attend the premiere. But they hurriedly left and returned home to Dorset.

A hotel insider said: There were no problems in any public areas. The family left very hurriedly and without saying much to each other, but the news about this so-called assault was a shock. Nobody here had a clue.

Jenny, a part time clown, is said to have claimed she was pushed over during the row, which broke out in Bale s suite when they returned after a meal at a restaurant.

After Jenny and Sharon reported the alleged assault, police faced a dilemma over whether to arrest him before the premiere of the new Batman movie.

Bale, a keen environmental activist and martial arts enthusiast, also starred in American Psycho, Empire Of The Sun and Batman Begins.

A masterpiece!! If I had to put this into one word. This movie of Christopher Nolan, is a must watch for everyone even if he is not a cinema guy. One of the most awaited movie worldwide after tragic death of Heath Ledger to an accidental prescription-drug overdose in January hit news worldwide and curiousity with sympathy factor was enough to make this movie very hot sellable news. With worldwide heavy expectations and curiosity, it was under heavy pressure to cope with this expectation level but Christopher Nolan comes up with such a splendid work that it exceeded the expections of everyone included critics. Christopher Nolan’s film is a wonderful work of art that will leave you staggering from the theatre, stunned by its scope and complexity. It is much better movie than its predecessor Batman Begins in every aspect.
Jonathan Nolan along with his director brother Christopher Nolan presents a unique mix of comedy and philosophy this time for viewers.
In first hour story revolves around Batman’s inner struggle about the need of his existence as Batman. Batman finds hard to find reason for his continuation with his role of Batman as Gotham attorney Harvey Dent (aaron eckhart) has taken the battle against organised crime in his hand with help from Lt Gordon (Gary Oldman).
Amidst temptation of returning to normal life with Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal) and leaving crime on hands of administration, movie present typical concept of existence crisis of super-heroes.
but not for long as super villain or not so super but super hillarious with witty one liners guru arrives on the scene with fear and terror strikes the nerves of the city.
This joker isn’t that funny as he might appear so by his appearnce. He enjoys the destruction of Gotham with great intensity with some chinks of humor which does nothing but sends fear to spines of viewers. His intentions are to create chaos in the city and then enjoy watching the fear factor, destruction and terror-scarred faces.Some of cleverly used sarcastic comments like “you complete me” from Jerry Maguire of Tom Cruise trickles viewers. Christopher has made the role of the joker so powerful that it is no longer a movie of Batman alone and the question of good’s superiority over evil seem to evacuate minds when Heath Ledger stealing the show most often.
Wally Pfister’s cinematography scores as the scenes filmed are marvellous and leave the viewer with his finger under teeth with amazement.
Batman (Christian Bale) is consistent with his mystic performance which is again impressive. Return of Batman’s butler Alfred (Michael Caine) and Gadget master (Morgan Freeman) adds color to the movie.
Eckhart surprises in his role after his impressive performance in Thank You For Smoking and seeps into his role of law and order person which changes color in the climax and reveals the secret of evil association.
Overall without arguement people will agree that movie will go down in the history as a classic. IMDB already has a staggering high rating of the movie 9.5 which is expected to come down though. A real treat from Christopher Nolan to world cinema.

‘Painful Time waste of 3 hours!’ was one of few highlighting remarks of viewers after watching much awaited movie of Aziz Miza who had distanced himself from movies after death of his wife. Aziz, who earlier has directed movies like Yes Boss, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Chalte Chalte, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani previously did not choose SRK this time for the role which he wanted a teen looking guy so who could have been a better choice than new lover-boy of silverscreen Shahid Kapoor. a lot of hype was created by media about the movie as its return movie of veteran Aziz Mirza and there was curiosity about chemistry between Shahid and Vidya Balan who looks much older to Shahid. Movie was being seen as one of the big release of the year and industry pinned its hope on the movie with crores of business at stake.

Movie is about an architect Raj Malhotra who is devoid of any luck in his life as whatever he put his hands into, culminates in failure though he is a very talented architect. Being a topper in every walk of life, he still does not find luck favouring him on any occassion. His friends believe he would grace the cover of the Times Magazine in 3 years. 5 years pass by and Raj is still struggling for his first big break.

So frustrated Shahid is told by an orator Hasina Bano (Juhi Chawla) that a lucky charm will change his luck entirely and so enters Priya (Vidya Balan ) who is fighting for the survival of a community center. Raj’s luck takes a U turn and he, while romancing with Priya grabs a deal with Om Puri to build a shopping complex. Problems start when he finds out that place where he is planing to build shopping complex is the same community center which Priya is fighting for its survival.

Movie is trademark Aziz Mirza’s light romantic comedy but unlike his previous movies Chalte Chalte and Yes Boss, it completely lacks the execution which ruins the otherwise good movie. No balance in romance and comedy, very ordinary dialogue delivery, technical flaws and average music are the main features of the movie. Shahid is ever evolving and he does good typical SRK role with impressive balance while Vidya is just OK. Juhi is superb as usual so is Om Puri in their short roles. Nothing else is there in the movie for viewers. Even the concept of lady luck has lost sheen as it has been repeated in a number of movies.

Do not spend 100 or more bucks on this movie unless you are not going to watch the movie in the hall
(lover’s!! listening??) or you are fan of Aziz Mirza.
